Element Outdoor Education is please to host its first ever Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day supported by the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA). TKMBD is a great way to introduce kids to the sport of mountain biking. The goal is simple... get more kids on bikes!
To make this Family Event even more special Element Outdoor Education will host a fundraising event a for local cyclist and his family. “Pedal for PURA” will raise awareness and funds for the Broadbent family and their son Obie who lives with PURA Syndrome - a condition that affects cognition, muscle tone, and coordination.
Due to this rare condition Obie may not have the opportunity to enjoy such outdoor activities as biking.
Mike Broadbent and his wife Jennifer have been involved in a variety of local activities in the community over the past ten years. Mike, a high school teacher and avid mountain bike enthusiast has spent countless hours volunteering to build mountain bike trails in Corner Brook. To insure Obie has the opportunity to enjoy biking opportunities proceeds from the event will go towards an adaptive bike for the Broadbent family.
Please consider what donation you can make, as it is with your support that we will have the ability to show Corner Brook, and the Broadbent family that we are inclusive, and we care for all members of our community.
